Important enrollment notice to travelers:
The annual renewal of UW’s CISI International Medical, Travel and Security Assistance Insurance Program is underway and will become effective on October 15 this year (2026). Because of this, travelers are currently not able to enroll in CISI coverage for trips that depart on or after 15 October 2026 until after the renewal has been completed, which is expected to occur in early October.
If you attempt to enroll a trip departing on or after 15 October 2026 before the CISI renewal is completed, you will receive the following error message: “Matching Policy Not Found”.
When the renewal of UW’s CISI insurance program is completed, enrollments in CISI coverage for trips departing on or after 15 October 2026 will be able to proceed as instructed in the enrollment option(s) provided below.
If you require documentation of international medical insurance for purposes of applying for a travel visa prior to being able to enroll in CISI coverage in October, you may email CISI Client Services directly at enrollments@culturalinsurance.com to request CISI Client Services provide you with a temporary “Consulate Letter” that will provide documentation of future medical insurance coverage required for your visa.
