Workday Training

Everyone who works for the Universities of Wisconsin will be trained to use Workday, whether you use the system to do your job or to manage your employment information. Instruction and support will be offered to all Universities of Wisconsin employees on an ongoing basis.

Training is available in a variety of formats:

  • eLearning courses: Self-paced, computer-based training courses that can be taken at a time and place convenient to the learner
  • Instructor-led training (ILT) courses: Training courses with a live instructor that typically include hands-on practice in a Workday training environment
  • Webinars: Training courses led by an instructor in a webinar format, often including Workday demonstrations, that offer an opportunity for live Q&A. Sessions are recorded for on-demand viewing.
  • Job aids: Step-by-step instructions for a specific process
  • How-to videos: Short, step-by-step instructions for a specific process in a video format
  • Workday Training Office Hours: Virtual drop-in sessions (for staff with HR, finance, and research administration security roles) led by Workday subject matter experts available to answer your questions

You will be enrolled in courses relevant to your position and/or security role(s) and notified by UW-Shared Services.
