UW-Green Bay chancellor finalists named

MADISON, Wis. – University of Wisconsin System President Kevin P. Reilly today announced four finalists for the position of chancellor at UW-Green Bay.

A 21-member search and screen committee, chaired by UW-Green Bay Prof. Denise Scheberle, recommended the finalists to Reilly and a special committee of the UW System Board of Regents. Regent Judy Crain of Green Bay chairs the Regents’ special committee.

The four candidates will participate in a variety of public forums from Dec. 5 through Dec. 12.   The forums will provide opportunities for the finalists to interact with faculty, staff, students, and community members.  The finalists and community forums are listed below. Reilly and the Regent committee will then interview the finalists in Madison on Dec. 19.  The final appointment of a new chancellor must be confirmed by the full Board of Regents.

The person chosen will become UW-Green Bay’s fifth chancellor, succeeding Chancellor Bruce Shepard, who is now president of Western Washington University in Bellingham, Wash.

UW-Green Bay, a growing comprehensive regional university, has an enrollment of nearly 6,200 undergraduate students and employs about 575 people. UW-Green Bay has an annual operating budget of $83 million.
