STEVENS POINT, Wis. – As part of efforts to develop a stronger educational partnership between the University of Wisconsin System and the tribal nations of Wisconsin, the UW Board of Regents will host leaders from the Great Lakes Inter-Tribal Council at Friday morning’s meeting in Stevens Point.
Several members of the Council are expected to address the UW Board, followed by an open discussion of how to further develop a partnership to benefit and better serve Native American students across Wisconsin.
Dr. Verna Fowler, president of the College of Menominee Nation, will also attend.
