MADISON, Wis. –University of Wisconsin System President Kevin P. Reilly today appointed a 19-member search committee to help identify a new chancellor for UW-Parkside. Chancellor John P. UW-Parkside, one of the UW System’s 11 comprehensive institutions, enrolls over 5,000 students from 55 counties comprising the most diverse student population in the UW System. Leading approximately 500 faculty, academic staff and classified staff members, the UW-Parkside chancellor is responsible for an annual budget in excess of $63 million.

“Chancellor Keating positioned UW-Parkside to be a key player in southeast Wisconsin’s community and economic development,” said Reilly. “We need a leader who can continue with that important effort, keeping our public university connected to the people and communities it serves.”

Reilly appointed ten faculty members, two academic staff member, one classified staff member, and two student representatives to the committee. They are joined by two community representatives, one campus dean, and one UW System Administration staff member.  Dr. Christine Evans, Professor and Department Chair of Geosciences at UW-Parkside, will chair the search committee.
