MADISON — San W. Orr, Jr., Wausau, was today re-elected to a one-year term as president of the University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents.
The action was taken during the annual meeting of the board, held this morning on the UW-Milwaukee campus. Jay Smith, Middleton, was re-elected to a one-year term as vice president.
Orr, an attorney, certified public accountant and chairman of the board of Wausau-Mosinee Paper Corporation, has been a member of the board since 1993. He served as regent vice president during 1997-98.
Smith, president and chief executive officer of JLS Investment Group, has been a member of the board since 1995.
