MADISON-Regent President David G. Walsh announced today that the University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents will address the issues of employment agreements, back-up appointments and administrative leaves across the UW System, along with other critical employment and competitiveness issues.
“It is important to clarify what benefits university employees receive, how employment agreements are constructed and how accountable the process is to the public,” said Walsh.
“With President Reilly’s concurrence, I am directing the Board’s Business and Finance committee to include examinations of UW employee benefits, agreements and appointments in its in-depth assessment of competitive compensation that is currently underway and to report back to the full Board on their findings in October.”
