Job Overview
Job SummaryInvestigates, researches, gathers, analyzes, and summarizes institutional data in support of information and research needs for planning and policy-making decisions. Provides management information, data analyses, and policy reports to inform strategic planning, decision-making, and resource allocation at the institutional level. Provides advice to, and performance management support for executive leadership. May be a lead or resource for others in the unit.
Job Responsibilities
  • Provides analysis and consultation on a variety of administrative-related matters. Applies subject matter knowledge to support institutional decisions and policymaking through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems
  • Designs, collects, analyzes, and researches institutional data according to established procedures and regulations
  • Prepares and disseminates institutional statistical reports to institutional programs, working units, and leadership
  • Serves as liaison and primary contact to internal and external stakeholders for institutional reporting and compliance, external surveys, and institutional statistics and data
  • Participates in establishing guidelines and procedures to ensure adequacy, quality, and reliability of information sources to ensure information systems and databases manage, store, and retrieve institutional data according to established policies, procedures, and reporting regulations
  • Works on topics that are increasingly complex and on matters that have significant impact to institutional operations
