As the 2023 flu season approached, the Universities of Wisconsin coordinated 21 flu vaccine clinics and administered 1,164 flu vaccines for employees and their spouses. Compared to the previous year, this is a decrease in the number of onsite clinics and flu vaccines.

UW-Madison also coordinated several clinics (not included in the numbers previously mentioned).

The intent of the onsite clinics is to proactively help employees stay healthy during the flu season. The Universities of Wisconsin thanks those that helped coordinate the clinics and the employees that received their flu vaccine at these clinics. Overall, the clinics were a success and we hope you will consider getting your flu vaccine in upcoming years!

Note: If you missed the clinic at your institution, consider getting your flu vaccine from your in-network doctor’s office or pharmacy (call ahead to check availability and find out if an appointment is necessary).
