Purchase Tableau Creator to Create Content
Tableau Creator is a subscription license that includes Tableau Desktop and Tableau Prep. Tableau Desktop is a stand-alone application for on-the-fly analysis and interactive data visualization. Tableau Prep is a stand-alone application for data preparation and cleaning.
Note: Site administrators govern the content that is published on UW System Tableau Server. If you want to publish, find out what is allowed on your institution’s site before purchasing a Tableau Creator license.
UW System employees can receive a discount on the regular higher education price of a Tableau Creator subscription by purchasing through AE Business Solutions (orders@aebs.com) or Capital Data under UWSA contract 21-2770. When contacting the vendor to request a quote, let them know that you’re employed by the University of Wisconsin and will be paying with UW funds. Include this information for each user: First Name, Last Name, UW institution, Email ending in .edu, Phone Number, Job Title, Department Name, Street Address 1, Street Address 2, City, State, Zip Code. For support on an existing Tableau Creator subscription, contact the vendor from which you purchased it.
UW students can get a free license for educational use directly from Tableau.
