The purpose of the Regents Teaching Excellence Awards is to recognize outstanding teaching in the UW System.

Two awards of $7,500 each will be made to faculty and academic staff members in recognition of outstanding career achievement in teaching.

One $7,500 award will be made to an academic department, program, or other academic unit which demonstrates exceptional commitment to and effectiveness in teaching.  The funds for this award are expected to be used for further program enhancements, such as professional development or teaching-related supplies and expenses.

The awards process is administered by the systemwide Office of Academic and Student Affairs.

2023 Regents Teaching Excellence Awards Nominations

Submission Deadline: December 16, 2022

The 2023 Regents Teaching Excellence Awards are expected to be presented at the March 30-31, 2023 Board of Regents meeting.
