Job SummaryDevelops and directs the implementation of strategic initiatives, maintains unit budget, and supervises staff in multicultural programs to promote social justice and equity for multicultural students and their allies.
Job Responsibilities
  • Serves as the unit liaison by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to advocate for multicultural students and providing organizational information
  • Directs strategic planning initiatives and establishes unit objectives to ensure appropriate use of resources
  • Recruits, hires, trains and supervises staff, interns, and/or student workers
  • Develops and oversees the unit budget
  • Develops operating policies and procedures to comply with regulations, institutional policies, and unit objectives
  • Provide oversight to external funding initiatives
  • Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
