1. Understand the Admission Requirements
Start by reviewing the admission requirements for first-year students. If you attend a Wisconsin high school, make sure you are familiar with the three Wisconsin Pathways to Admission.

2. Prepare Your Essay (If Required)
Check if the UW universities you are applying to require or accept essay(s). If so, be sure to review the Essay Preparation Guide to make your writing stand out.

3. Use the Application Checklist
Before you begin your application, consult the Application Checklist to make sure you have all the necessary materials and information ready.
