Find Your Pathway

Veteran/Military-Connected Student

Turn service into a college degree. Whether you’re a veteran, on active duty or a military-connected family member, you have a home at a University of Wisconsin university.

Being connected to military service provides you benefits that make a UW degree well within reach. Exploring the educational benefits available to you is an important early step to enrolling at a UW university.

Three Steps to Get Started

Along the way, if you have any questions, please contact a Veterans Services Coordinator at the UW university you are interested in attending. Once you enroll at a UW, the Veterans Services Coordinator and Veterans Offices will be key sources of information and support.

Use the Find Your Program and the Find Your UW search tools to explore academic program options across all our UWs.

Navigating the array of educational benefits for military-connected students doesn’t have to be overwhelming or confusing. The UW’s Military Connected Student Benefit Assessment identifies benefits you may qualify for based on a few questions about your service, residency, and family relationships.  The results are shared with campus benefit experts in our veteran and military services offices who will further assist you.

If you are pursuing admission as a new first-year student or as a transfer student, make sure you check out our Undergraduate Admission Resources. If you want to enroll in a graduate or professional degree program, visit our Graduate Student webpage.
