May marks Mental Health Awareness Month—a time to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and prioritize mental well-being.
Mental health impacts everyone in our communities. Your experience, your journey, and your voice can help break stigma, build understanding, and create hope and healing for others. Stigma grows in silence. Healing begins in community. This year Universities of Wisconsin EAP provider, Acentra Health, is aligning with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) theme: Turning Silence into Connection. By sharing our experiences, learning from each other’s experiences, and building strong community connections, we can challenge the stigma around seeking help and create spaces where people are supported, understood, and find healing.
