Non-Resident Tuition Programs
Lower tuition. Same great education. If you live outside Wisconsin, paying for college might feel like a stretch—but don't worry. Several programs are available to help non-residents save big on tuition at select Universities of Wisconsin. Depending on where you live, you may qualify for one of the programs below.
Minnesota Reciprocity
Live in Minnesota? Learn in Wisconsin. Minnesota residents attending a UW university may qualify to pay a reciprocal tuition rate—lower than standard out-of-state rates.
NOTE: If you are a Wisconsin resident planning to attend a Minnesota public institution of higher education, visit the Wisconsin-Minnesota Reciprocity webpage.
Return to Wisconsin
Your family’s UW connection can save you 25%. This program offers a 25% tuition discount for non-residents of Wisconsin and Minnesota whose parent, grandparent, or legal guardian graduated from the same UW university you plan to attend.
