Workday for Managers

As a manager at the Universities of Wisconsin, you will use Workday to view and complete supervisory tasks for your employees. You will also use the system to approve transactions, such as purchases or expense reports. A manager’s Workday tasks might include:

  • Viewing and approving your team’s time-off requests and leaves of absence, as well as timesheets
  • Enrolling or assigning learning courses to your team members
  • Completing onboarding setup for new hires, like sending welcome messages
  • Generating reports using real-time data
  • Starting a request to hire

As a manager, you’ll use Workday to initiate and approve tasks related to hiring and supervising your team members. Expand the menus to find information about common manager processes.
