1. Plan UW is Live!

    The University of Wisconsin System Budget office is excited to announce that the Plan UW system is Production Ready for the FY20 Budget Cycle. We sincerely appreciate all of the efforts from the full-project team throughout the past year!

  2. Plan UW scheduled to Go Live the week of 12/17/18!

    The Plan UW Production environment will be made available to the institutions on 12/17/18 or 12/18/18. The institutions will then spot check the Production environment for the remainder of the week. It is the goal to have the Production Environment confirmed by 12/18/18. Great job TEAM!

  3. Train the Trainer Sessions in December

    The first Train the Trainer Sessions will occur the week of December 10th. The sessions will prepare representatives from each institution to train end-users on Plan UW at their institutions.

  4. End-to-End testing in full swing

    The team is busy testing the various interfaces and processes for beginning to end for the source systems including Planning Allocation, SFS, and CAT. This testing is critical to confirm the data and functionality is working properly.

  5. A Brunch & Learn is scheduled for 10/23/18

    11:30a – 12:00p: Plan UW Reports Overview 12:00 p – 1:00p: Training on the Plan UW Budget Account Levels Participants can attend the full session, or join at any time. The session will be recorded and added to the Plan UW Training website.

  6. User Acceptance Testing (UAT) is underway!

    User Acceptance Testing (UAT) runs from 10/1/18 – 11/9/18. There were several UAT training sessions in September to prepare the testers. The testers have a variety of test scripts to execute in Plan UW. Finding issues and solving them now is the intention of the test process – find and resolve issues ahead of go-live.

  7. UW System Budget Account Levels for Plan UW

    The UW System Budget Account Levels for Plan UW has been finalized; please see the Excel workbook here under “Other Resources.” The workbook includes these tabs: Account Levels Fringe Non-Compensation Revenue GL to Budget to Account Mapping

  8. Hands-On Build Review

    The Hands-On Build Review sessions are schedule for the last week in August and the second week in September.  This is the first time the users will be able to go in and experience the system.  Feedback from these sessions will be incorporated into the final product.

  9. TestScript Writing

    TestScript Writing sessions are scheduled for the week of August 13th. This will provide the Power Users with the tools to thoroughly test the system.   10. Build Review Check-In Sessions

    The one-hour Build Review Check-In Sessions occurred the week of July 23rd. The main purpose was to review the work that was incorporated since the first Build Review Session earlier this month. This iterative feedback approach helps to ensure the requirements are being met and the specifications are accurate.
