All legal documents to be served on the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin System should be delivered in person to:

For federal lawsuits served by mail; please include a waiver of personal service form pursuant to FRCP 4.

The Office of General Counsel (OGC) provides legal advice and representation to the Board of Regents of the UW System, UW System Administration, 11 UW System institutions, and UW System administrators and staff, and serves as liaison to state government offices and agencies, including the Wisconsin Department of Justice.
The UW System attorneys have expertise and practice in a number of general legal subject areas, such as discrimination law and employment law. Because higher education law is complex, Office of General Counsel attorneys also specialize in certain areas.
