New Workday features, including homepage enhancements, are now available for all Universities of Wisconsin staff. These changes are part of Workday’s spring 2026 feature release, which went live on Saturday, March 14.
Feature releases happen twice a year, typically in March and September, bringing new functionality, enhancements, and fixes.
What’s New for Spring 2026
Newly features affecting all Workday users include the following:
New Workday experience:
- The homepage will have a new centered aligned layout that includes the search bar location.
- Branding will be more noticeable. The navigation sidebar buttons will reflect your university’s colors, and some links will highlight in gray and underline when you hover over them.
Withholding Orders tab (formerly known as Garnishments):
- Employees can now view their current or past withholding orders directly in Workday.
- The new Withholding Orders tab will be in the Pay section of the worker profile.
- This tab will appear for all employees, even if you do not have any withholding orders.
- Previously, this information was only available by request.

Training and Support
Workday support documents and training materials are being updated to help UW staff easily and quickly adapt to the new features.
