FY 2024 Third Quarter SYS Policy Preview
Attached please find the FY 2025 Third Quarter SYS Policy Preview memo. It details the policy work anticipated between January and March 2025, including policies and procedures to be distributed to universities, as well as policies and procedures that are anticipated to be approved by the President.
Other SYS Policy Updates
The comment period for UW System Administrative Policy 1310, Copyrightable Instructions Materials Ownership, Use, and Control closed on Friday, December 13, and those comments are in the process of being organized for review. Given the substantial interest in the draft policy, particularly related to further definition as to the use of the Board’s reserved copyright interests, President Rothman will be directing the establishment of a work group made up of content experts and representatives designated by shared governance leadership to review the comments and provide recommended changes to the policy. The timeline for that review will be to be completed prior to the start of the next academic year in the fall of 2025, where the policy will be recirculated with any changes for another round of review and comment through the standard UWSA policy review process.
