To be reimbursed from your 2025 Flexible Spending Account (FSA), you must have eligible expenses from the 2025 calendar year. Submit and substantiate your eligible expenses with Optum by March 31, 2026.

An FSA reimburses you for certain out-of-pocket expenses with tax-free dollars. Since these are spending accounts, the money should be spent. Eligible expenses include:

  • Medical (post-deductible only if you were also enrolled in the HDHP and HSA)
  • Dental
  • Vision
  • Dependent Day Care

How to Submit Eligible Expenses for Reimbursement

Submit your eligible expenses for reimbursement by using the Optum Financial mobile app or Optum website. Remember to include the required IRS supporting documentation. Optum will contact you for additional information, if necessary.

Carryover Reminders

Some of the unused funds in your Health Care FSA may be eligible to carry over from 2025 to 2026 based on the balance in your 2025 Health Care FSA on March 31, 2026.

  • Unused funds less than $50 will be forfeited if you did not re-enroll for the 2026 plan year.
  • Unused funds greater than or equal to $50 and up to $660 will carry over from 2025 to 2026.
  • Unused funds greater than $660 will be forfeited.

If eligible, your carryover funds will transfer from Optum (2025 administrator) to TASC (2026 administrator) around April 15, 2026. You do not need to do anything to initiate the carryover of Health Care FSA funds.

Note: The IRS does not allow carryover for the Dependent Day Care Account.
