Overview

University of Wisconsin Extended Campus (UWEX) is the online and Continuing/Professional Education arm of University of Wisconsin System. We work in partnership with all 26 UW System campuses to offer continuing education and lifelong learning opportunities—fulfilling the “Wisconsin Idea” of extending the university’s resources to every corner of the state. We bring University of Wisconsin academic programs to adult and nontraditional students, in conjunction with advising and support that fosters student success.

UWEX offers associate, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees, and credit and noncredit certificates—all in online formats that fit the busy lives of adult and professionally-focused students. UWEX has a complete catalog of both semester- and competency/project-based (UW Flexible Option) programs, as well as offering individual courses through UW Independent Learning,  giving students the flexibility they need to meet their educational goals.

UW Extended Campus staff include Integrated Marketing, Information Technology, Instructional Design, Recruitment, Retention & Student Services, Learning Technology & Media Services, and Administration.

UWEX also works in cooperation with a number of state, regional, national, and international organizations and associations committed to higher education.
