In the spirit of the mission of the LTDC to facilitate the sharing of technology best practices and discovering innovative ways of using technology in teaching and learning, the LTDC sponsored four Regional Showcases on Technology in Teaching and Learning for the 2011-2012 academic year.
South-East Regional Showcase
On April 12th, 2013, the South-East Region of the LTDC presented a Virtual Showcase with a broad range of topics including “Engaging Students with the use of Student Response Systems”, “Blending, engaging, and activating student learning” and “Best Practices in Using Social Media in the Classroom”. West Regional Showcase
“The Dynamic On-Line Classroom: Practices and Tools to Engage Engaging Students” is the theme of the 2nd Annual West Regional Showcase, hosted by UW-La Crosse on April 26, 2013. For more information, view the showcase’s webpage.
Central Regional Showcase
UW-Stevens Point hosted the 2nd Annual Central Regional Showcase on March 13th, 2013 with the theme “Getting Real with Technology”. The showcase included a keynote from Rovy Branson on “Innovation and Flexibility: Pushing the Boundaries of Higher Education” and lot of interesting presentations from faculty and designers across the UW system. Northwest Regional Showcase
The 2nd Annual Northwest Regional Showcase occurred on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 on the UW-Stout campus. Over 70 people conquered the winter weather for this faculty development event!
