The University of Wisconsin System has a long-standing tradition of shared decision making with faculty, staff, and students. Like UW institutions, UW System Administration (UWSA) has shared governance bodies to give the staff of UWSA representation in the organization.
UWSA is organized into a University Staff Council and an Academic Staff Committee. These groups participate in policy development for UWSA, administer awards, represent staff on personnel issues, and promote professional development.
University Staff Council
The UWSA University Staff Council represents the university staff (formerly known as classified staff) working in System Administration.
Academic Staff Committee
The UWSA Academic Staff Committee represents the academic staff working in System Administration.
