pub-writing

Join us for this month’s Learning Forum on Thursday, December 11 at 10 a.m. CST hosted by Todd Dresser and Joanne Dolan, UW-Green Bay. This session will begin with a case study of a course which uses wikis in creative ways to make student work and student scholarship publicly available. From there we will bridge to a broader discussion regarding technologies which facilitate public writing (blogs, twitter, etc) as well as some issues involved with making the internet a forum for student work. Some of these issues could be: the role of students as producers of knowledge rather than consumers; how to maintain student privacy on the internet; and how to know when to take student content off the internet.
