Campus Agreements with Foreign Country of Concern (FCOC) Counterparts
(non-R1 UW Universities only)

• Process
  • To enter into an agreement with a FCOC Counterpart, each campus designates a FCOC Manager and assembles a FCOC Committee.
  • Before convening, the FCOC Manager completes the General Council Intake Form to request that an Office of General Council (OGC) representative join the team. (Example completed Intake Form)
  • If you do not have copies of the FCOC Agreement Review Process & FCOC Agreement Worksheet, request these when completing the General Council Intake Form.

  • There may be federal requirements associated with Research Security Training.
  • In cases where no federal requirement exists, campus FCOC teams should seriously consider requiring all campus personnel who travel to a FCOC to complete the UWS Research Security Training.
  • To access the training,
    • type “UWS – Research Training” into the search bar in Workday, select “UWS – Research Training”, then follow prompts on your screen.
