Complete Your Annual Outside Activity Report (OAR) by April 30, 2026!
All Universities of Wisconsin faculty, academic staff, and limited appointees with appointments of 50% or more must complete an annual report to identify any outside activities for which they receive pay or have connections related to their professional responsibilities. UW employees who are required to complete an OAR on 2025 activities, were notified by UW Shared Services via email on April 8, 2026.

UWSA to Co-Host Higher Education Summit – Wisconsin: A National Conversation
Big news! In 2026, the Wisconsin Higher Education Summit and Student Success Summit are joining forces for one streamlined, collaborative event jointly hosted by WAICU, the UW, and WTCS. Mark your calendars on May 19-21, 2026 for the Higher Education Summit – Wisconsin: A National Conversation focusing on Strategies for Policy, Compliance, and Student Success. The event will be held at the Memorial Union on the UW-Madison campus, as well as virtually. This combined summit will bring together professionals from Wisconsin’s private and public colleges and universities, along with higher education professionals from other states, for three days of learning, networking, and innovation. The Office of Compliance and Integrity (OCI) supports compliance efforts at the Universities of Wisconsin (UW). Our mission is to provide support and services to UW universities in identifying and fulfilling compliance obligations from federal law, state law, and Board of Regents policies. We do this by promoting a culture that moves beyond regulatory compliance to one that embraces ethics and integrity across the UW.
The areas of focus include, but are not limited to: Title IX Compliance, Clery Act Compliance, Protection of Minors, Public Records, Records Management, Ethics and Conflicts of Interest, State Authorization of Distance Education, and Investigative Services.

The UW System compliance framework is established in accordance with the Federal Sentencing Guidelines of the U.S. Sentencing Commission and the United States Department of Justice Guidance, Evaluation of Corporate Compliance Programs.
