• UW-Superior requested that language be added to Section B.II to avoid confusion regarding waivers able to be granted under Wis. Stat. § 36.27(4) and Wis. Stat. § 36.27(3).
    • No changes were made to the draft policy. Section 6.II currently addresses specific remission programs detailed in Wis. Stat. § 36.27(3)(a) in the subsection “Merit” and Wis. Stat. § 36.27(3)(b) in the subsection “Deserving of Relief.” Expansion on the general authority in Wis. Stat. § 36.37(3)(a) will be considered in the next stage of the tuition policy work.
  • UW-Green Bay requested that the language regarding the Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP) as campuses were not required to leave MSEP and therefore MSEP may still be applicable.
    • The current policy language regarding MSEP was re-integrated into the draft policy, in addition to the draft language regarding the Midwest Tuition Rate.
  • UW-Madison recommended that Section 6.A.VII be revised to only require Chancellor approval for Service-Based Pricing, rather than requiring UW System President approval.
    • No changes were made to the draft policy. Our plan is to complete the revisions to our tuition policies in stages. Service-based pricing was not addressed in this first stage of policy work, but may be addressed at a different stage.
  • UW-Madison inquired whether any students had engaged in the feedback process for this policy.
