UW System Administration hosted a day-long workshop for UW System institutions focused on supporting student success through the use of Navigate. Workshop presenters and facilitators included UW System Project Team members, EAB consultants and a keynote speaker. The keynote speaker was Rick Sluder. He led the implementation of the EAB predictive analytics software platform at Middle Tennessee State University, which became one of the top users in the nation. He oversaw the rapid adoption of the system and facilitated the strategic application of analytics to transform the advising role. He presented the keynote address on  “Breaking Through the Complexity of Implementing Student Success Initiatives: What Can I Do?” and also led a breakout session.

Workshop goals and breakout sessions are described below. The workshop provided opportunities for institutions to share insights about their experience and to hear from other UW System colleagues.  Campus teams also met to reflect on the strategies shared and identify those to explore further with others leading Navigate implementation at their institution.

Each institution was invited to register a team of six participants. Campus teams may have included advising and student success administrators, professional and faculty advisors, engagement team leads and others as deemed appropriate by institutions’ Navigate leadership.
