Alcohol and other drug use can affect an individual’s health, engagement, and academic success, as well as the campus and community climate. The UW System recognizes the importance of addressing this issue on its campuses in order to minimize negative impacts on the education pursuits and well-being of its students. We are committed to working with students, faculty, and staff to help create a safe, respectful, and caring environment where students can succeed and thrive.

Each campus within the UW System has an Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Misuse Prevention Coordinator who collaborates with campus and community partners to implement and evaluate evidence-based policies, programs, and services focused on AOD prevention.

Monthly Meetings

AOD Coordinators currently meet once a month virtually. If you are interested in joining a future meeting to share a systemwide update or a topic related to the group, please email Jenny Damask at jenny.damask@wisc.edu.
