What is changing?
- All email accounts, lists, groups are migrating to the Wisconsin M365 environment.
- Email addresses will change to firstname.lastname@Wisconsin.edu
- You will still receive messages with your uwsa.edu email address.
- Lists will migrate to lists.wisconsin.edu mail addresses.
Why is this change happening?
- Increase collaboration and communication.
- Create a more sustainable, manageable IT environment.
- Increase cybersecurity protection.
- Be more efficient and cost-effective.
When will this occur?
Spring of 2024, more details to come.
Who is impacted?
All account holders (staff) using a primary @uwsa.edu mailbox address.
What do users need to do?
OLITS staff may reach out to ask question, otherwise no action is needed now. Continue to look for communication updates in the newsletter and website.
What should users expect?
- Information providing specific details on upcoming changes. This would include instructions, specific dates, notifications, change details.
- Migration will occur over a weekend beginning on a Saturday and completing on a Monday.
- Expect or anticipate slow business functions for the Monday following the completion of the migration.
- Staff should schedule extra time to adjust to the change and confirm functionality.
