UW-Green Bay
Associate Professor
Computer Science
I am an Associate Professor of Computer Science in the Richard J. Resch School of Engineering at the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay. I earned my B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), and both my M.S. and Ph.D. in Computational Sciences from Marquette University. I have been teaching at UW–Green Bay since 2018 and have taught a range of introductory and advanced computer science courses. My scholarship bridges mobile healthcare, software engineering, and computer science education. I have designed affordable mHealth tools and data-driven algorithms—work that has led to peer-reviewed articles, conference papers, and a book chapter developed in collaboration with clinicians and interdisciplinary teams. In the classroom, I mentor students through real-world software projects across the curriculum. When I’m not coding or teaching, I’m watching soccer, building Lego and Gunpla models, or experimenting with desserts.
TEACHING AND LEARNING PHILOSOPHY
My passion for teaching stems from a deep commitment to guiding and inspiring students through interactive, inclusive learning environments. I strive to create classrooms where every student feels valued, cultural competence is nurtured, and collaboration is central to the learning experience. At the heart of my philosophy is active engagement—I facilitate discovery and problem-solving while ensuring that students have access to equitable resources and tailored support.
I view continuous self-reflection and student feedback as essential to my growth as an educator. These practices allow me to remain responsive to evolving educational trends and technological advancements. Ultimately, my goal is to prepare students not only as capable professionals but as thoughtful, ethical citizens who can contribute meaningfully to a diverse and dynamic world.
