UW-Stevens Point

Associate Professor and Instructional Designer | Chemistry

After growing up in central Wisconsin, I obtained a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in 2003 before going on to earn a Ph.D. in computational/physical chemistry from the University of Minnesota in 2007.  I spent four years as a tenure-track faculty at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa before moving to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 2011, where I am now an Associate Professor in the Chemistry Department.  My love for all things teaching and learning prompted to me to take a half-time appointment as an instructional designer in our Center for Inclusive Teaching and Learning.  I teach courses in general and physical chemistry and am passionate about working to make UWSP a more inclusive environment for our students.
