Integrity Hotline
Use the confidential hotline to report fraud, abuse, misconduct, or illegal activity.
If you have a report or concern about misconduct, abuse, fraud, illegal activity, violations of university policy, or if you fear retaliation for speaking out, please use the Integrity Hotline online reporting form or call 855-827-4950. You may choose to identify yourself or remain anonymous.
Anonymous Reporting
The Universities of Wisconsin are committed to an environment where open, honest communications are the expectation, not the exception. We want you to feel comfortable approaching your supervisor or management when you believe violations of policies or standards have occurred.
You can also report your concern confidential through the Integrity Hotline. The Universities of Wisconsin have partnered with Navex EthicsPoint, an independent third-party provider to provide you with a simple and anonymous way to report activities that may involve misconduct, abuse, fraud, illegal activity, violations of university policy, or if you fear retaliation for speaking out.
Reports can be submitted by filling out an online form or by calling 855-827-4950. You may choose to file anonymously or by identifying yourself.
When considering whether to file anonymously, keep in mind that anonymous complaints can pose limitations on efforts to substantiate and investigate claims. The information you provide will be sent to us by Navex EthicsPoint on a confidential and anonymous basis. Know that we will do everything we can to keep your identity private during the investigation and follow-up of your report.
Retaliation Protection
Regent Policy 14-6 protects all students and employees from any form of adverse action in response to the filing of a complaint of discrimination or discriminatory harassment, participation in an investigation of such complaint and/or opposition to discrimination or discriminatory harassment in the educational or workplace setting. If you suspect that you may have experienced retaliation, please use the following information to identify the appropriate party to notify. In this situation, you should report to someone who is not directly involved in the retaliatory behavior, such as your Office of Human Resources.
Frequently Asked Questions
There are various ways individuals can report a suspected or actual misconduct depending on what makes you most comfortable. One place you can start is with your immediate supervisor or manager.
- The department chair or dean of your school
- For faculty-specific concerns, the appropriate dean or Provost for Academic Affairs
- Human Resources
- For any alleged sexual misconduct including dating, domestic abuse, and stalking, the institution’s Title IX Coordinator
- For immediate help, campus or local law enforcement or dial 911
- The Integrity Hotline may be used to report anonymously or by identifying themselves.
Your filed report will be documented by Navex EthicsPoint.
Reports are then securely forwarded on to the Office of Internal Audit at UW Administration on a confidential basis.
The UW Administration Office of Internal Audit will review all reports received through the hotline.
