Tech Hub Talks – What Wisconsin Employers Need to Know

April 17 | 8:30–10:00 AM | Waukesha County Business Alliance

Wisconsin’s Biohealth Tech Hub is accelerating work across data, manufacturing, healthcare, and innovation — and employer input is shaping the direction. On April 17, the Universities of Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Biohealth Tech Hub will cohost Tech Hub Talks in partnership with the Waukesha County Center for Growth and the Waukesha County Business Alliance.

This session is designed specifically for employers working in, supplying to, or supporting the biohealth sector — including manufacturers that may not yet see themselves as part of this ecosystem. If your company is part of a regulated supply chain, develops or supports medical products, works under ISO 13485, or intersects with healthcare talent needs, this event is designed with you in mind.

What You’ll Gain

This quarter’s session focuses on practical insights and direct engagement, giving employers:

Clear Visibility Into the Tech Hub’s Progress

Updates on major initiatives and milestones — and what they mean for regional businesses preparing for growth, supply chain shifts, or new technology demands.

New Tools and Solutions for Workforce & Talent Needs

An overview of emerging employer-ready supports, including workforce pipelines, training models, and programs designed to help companies address talent shortages and upskilling needs.

Opportunities to Shape Regional Strategy

Interactive elements allow employers to share immediate workforce and operational challenges. These insights directly inform Tech Hub activities, priorities, and resource allocation.

Access to Regional Experts & Project Leads

Speakers from across the Tech Hub will be available for Q&A, and attendees will have the opportunity to connect one-on-one through quick follow-up requests and upcoming sector roundtables.

Why This Event Matters

The Biohealth Tech Hub is designed to support employers — but its success depends on employers’ voices, needs, and knowledge. This session is an opportunity to:

  • Influence the region’s workforce and talent strategies
  • Understand how Tech Hub projects can directly support your business
  • Connect with leaders driving innovation, data infrastructure, and commercialization
  • Highlight sector-specific barriers in manufacturing, biotech, and healthcare
  • Engage with peers across related industries

For manufacturers in particular, this is a chance to see how your capabilities fit into Wisconsin’s broader biohealth future.
