Fall Submission Window September 8-25
High schools that did not submit students during the summer window can submit the two required files September 8 through September 25:
- A .csv spreadsheet with data on all students who have opted to participate
- A machine-readable .pdf bundle of transcripts for each student who has opted to participate
High schools that attempted to submit during the summer window but were unable to complete their submission due to file issues or outstanding questions can also work with us to resolve issues and complete their submission during this fall window.
Students submitted during the fall window will receive admission offers on a rolling basis in September and October vvia their high school email address with a mailed admissions packet to follow.
See our Technical Documentation Library for guidance on submitting via your Student Information System (SIS) or through manual upload.
Prepare for a successful fall submission! Before submitting data files:
- Complete a Technical Review by staff who work in your SIS to compile the files.
- Complete an Academic Review, by staff who are familiar with the students being submitted and their academic records and coursework. The Academic Review helps ensure your submission includes all of your eligible students and that all students given tiers qualify for Direct Admit Wisconsin.
- As part of the Academic Review, check students’ math coursework to ensure that students given tiers have (or are on track to complete) the three required units of college-ready math.
- Work with your IT department to safelist these Universities of Wisconsin domains and IP address to ensure that students can receive Direct Admit offer emails and complete their Direct Admit Form.

- Create and/or Update Your High School Contacts in the Direct Admit Administrator Portal. All schools should verify their existing contacts and add/edit as necessary prior to data submission. We encourage all high school staff who work on Direct Admit Wisconsin—from high school and district administrators to counselors, technology coordinators and support staff—to have an account in the portal to access tools and information. To add and update contacts:
- Log into the Direct Admit Administrator Portal or Create a Direct Admit Administrator Account if you do not have one yet.
- Find “Manage Contacts” section and and follow the link
- Edit or add contacts on this page as needed
What happens after submitting files?
- Within four business days, your high school contacts should receive a confirmation email, or a request for additional information from the Direct Admit Wisconsin Team. If you believe you have submitted files, and your high school contacts do not receive a confirmation or a follow up email after four business days, please contact the Direct Admit Wisconsin team at directadmitwi@wisconsin.edu.
- Starting the Monday after receiving the submission confirmation email (and no earlier), high schools that use Infinite Campus and Skyward SMS can elect to post copies of the Direct Admit Wisconsin admission offer letter to the parent and student portals using the designated SIS processes. (If you receive the confirmation email on a Monday, you can post the letters the next Monday.) See the SIS documentation in our Technical Documentation Library.

Need to Add or Correct Students?
Ad Hoc Submissions September 8-October 31
If your high school submitted students during the Direct Admit Wisconsin summer window, and needs to add a few students, or update or correct previously submitted students, you can do so September 8-October 31 using the Ad Hoc Student Submission Process. (Those who submit in the fall window can also subsequently add or update students using the Ad Hoc Process.)
Ad Hoc submissions are for students eligible for Direct Admit Wisconsin who were inadvertently missed during the regular submission window, or who were placed incorrectly due to a technical error.
Each student that needs to be added or corrected will be submitted individually via the high school administration dashboard. A confirmation email will be sent to the person who submitted after each submission has been reviewed and confirmed.
Students submitted via the Ad Hoc process will receive admission offers on a rolling basis in September and October. Upon receiving the admissions offers, students can complete the Direct Admit Form in the Universities of Wisconsin Admission Pathway Portal, which notifies UWs that made admissions offers that students are interested and want to learn more.
Starting the Monday after receiving the confirmation email (and no earlier), high schools that use Infinite Campus and Skyward SMS can elect to post copies of the Direct Admit Wisconsin admission offer letter to the parent and student portals using the designated SIS processes. (If you receive a confirmation email on a Monday, you can post the letters the next Monday.) See the SIS documentation in our Technical Documentation Library.

Did your student not receive an admissions offer email? If students who should have been sent an offer email tell you they did not receive one, please have them check their spam/junk email folders before contacting us. (Please also see important information about safelisting, below.)
Please note: Universities of Wisconsin Administration does not communicate to students who do not receive a Direct Admit admissions offer because they do not meet one or more of the eligibility criteria. Each high school decides how to notify or communicate with their students who did not receive offers. The Direct Admit Wisconsin program is just one pathway to enrollment with UW universities, and this is not a denial of admission. Students who did not receive Direct Admit Wisconsin offers are encouraged to connect with UW universities and explore the traditional application process through the Universities of Wisconsin Admission Pathway Portal.
