August 1: Direct Admit Offers Sent, Form Opens for Students

Eligible students submitted in the 2026 summer window will receive their Direct Admit Wisconsin offers on Saturday, August 1, via their high school email address. An admissions offer packet will follow in the mail by mid-August. High school staff may view sample offer letters here.

Starting August 1, students with offers can complete the Direct Admit Form in the Universities of Wisconsin Admission Pathway Portal. Completing the Direct Admit Form notifies UWs that made admissions offers that students are interested and want to learn more. Resources to assist students include a Direct Admit Form walkthrough and other how-to videos, and a video and next steps checklist for directly admitted students. Troubleshooting tips for students completing the Direct Admit form will be posted to Go Wisconsin Resources and Tools under “Prepare for College and the UW Admissions Process” by August 1. If students need help completing the form or have questions, they can contact Go Wisconsin/Admission Help, which will be available special hours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 1. Download a list of common Direct Admit Form issues and troubleshooting tips intended for use by high school counselors and staff helping students here.

Did your student not receive an admissions offer email? If students who should have been sent an offer email tell you they did not receive one, please have them check their spam/junk email folders before contacting us. (Please also see important information about safelisting, below.)

Please note: Universities of Wisconsin Administration does not communicate to students who do not receive a Direct Admit admissions offer because they do not meet one or more of the eligibility criteria. Each high school decides how to notify or communicate with their students who did not receive offers. The Direct Admit Wisconsin program is just one pathway to enrollment with UW universities, and this is not a denial of admission. Students who did not receive Direct Admit Wisconsin offers are encouraged to connect with UW universities and explore the traditional application process through the Universities of Wisconsin Admission Pathway Portal.

Beginning August 3: High schools that use Infinite Campus and Skyward SMS can post copies of the Direct Admit Wisconsin admission offer letter to the parent and student portals using the designated SIS processes. The letters have been shared with Skyward and Infinite Campus.

If your high school was not able to submit files during the summer submission window, please submit during the fall window, September 8-25. If you need to add to or update files submitted during the summer, you can do so during the ad hoc window, September 8-October 31. See Key Dates for more information

Reminder: Safelist the Universities of Wisconsin to ensure students receive their Direct Admit Wisconsin offer: Please work with your IT department to ensure that the following IP address and domains are safelisted so that students can receive their emailed Direct Admit Wisconsin admissions offers on August 1st.
