Scope of Digital Accessibility (DA) Steering Committee
The steering committee’s purpose is to provide support to UWSA and the UW Digital Accessibility Community of Practice (CoP) regarding compliance with the new Title II Digital Accessibility rule and SYS 655 policy requirements, with a focus on policy and technical standards.
This work will include, but not be limited to, identifying and evaluating issues, challenges and opportunities related to digital accessibility. It will develop written communications, agendas, flowcharts, topic-specific guidance and other resources to assist universities in their overall management and oversight of SYS 655 compliance. It will provide updates and reports on this work with the UW DA CoP. The committee shall meet bi-monthly to complete its work, as well as attend the DA CoP monthly meetings.
