Last week, President Rothman sent the Workgroup Charter outlining the purpose and scope of the Universities of Wisconsin’s effort to draft a Regent Policy Document consistent with Act 15’s instructional employee teaching workload requirements. The Workgroup Charter details the responsibilities of this effort, lists the members of the core working group and support team, and provides a tentative timeline for the work.
The work is currently in the early phase of the process, with the team focused on developing a preliminary conceptual framework and establishing working definitions.
What’s Next:
- August 4 – 15: The workgroup will outline a conceptual framework, define key terms, and identify any outstanding issues for policy development.
- August 19 or 20 – Feedback on the proposed framework and definitions will be collected from the Provost Council, after which a draft of the policy will be developed.
We will continue to provide updates as the policy evolves and share opportunities for feedback at key milestones. Please note that a Provost Council meeting has been scheduled for August 4 to provide a general update for all aspects of the Act 15 work.
Thank you for your ongoing support as we navigate this policy development process.
