About Lori Stortz, CPA

Lori L. Stortz has served as the Chief Audit Executive of the University of Wisconsin System since July 2014. Lori has a 30 year career as an audit professional. Immediately prior to joining the University of Wisconsin System, she served as the managing partner of the Milwaukee office of McGladrey LLP. She began her career with Deloitte & Touche LLP where she became an audit partner in 1999. She also was an audit partner at BDO USA LLP. Lori has served as an audit partner to many significant Wisconsin organizations including health care providers, manufacturers and distributors, insurance companies and service providers. Additionally, she has developed business relationships and strategies to deliver value beyond audit results. Lori is a graduate of UW-Whitewater earning a BBA with a major in accounting. She remains an active alumni including serving on the Accounting Advisory Board and is active in the Alumni Mentoring program.
