The Department of Procurement provides strategic sourcing and purchasing services to UWSA employees and UW System institutions by two different teams.
Strategic Sourcing Services
- Assistance to UW System institutions with large procurement projects
- Leadership on procurement policies and practices
Purchasing Services
- Assistance to UW System institutions with staff augmentation including full, ongoing Procurement support
- On-demand assistance for contract review
- Negotiation and signature
- Request for Bids (RFBs) and Request for Proposals (RFPs)

About Brent Tilton
Brent Tilton joined UW System as Director of Procurement in February 2018. Previously, he served as Director of Procurement and Materials Management at UW Stout for ten years. Prior to UW Stout, Brent worked at Silicon Graphics/Cray Research for twenty years in various technical and management roles. He has taught business policy and capstone courses as an Adjunct Instructor at Concordia University. Brent earned his MBA and Bachelor’s in Management degrees from Cardinal Stritch University and holds an Associate Degree in Electronics Technology.
