Injuries include cases such as, but not\u00a0limited to, a cut, fracture, sprain, or amputation.\u00a0Illnesses include both acute and chronic illnesses,\u00a0such as, but not limited to, a skin disease,\u00a0respiratory disorder, or poisoning.\u00a0<span class=\"small\">[29 CFR 1904.46]<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Wisconsin Worker&#8217;s Compensation Statute<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cInjury\u201d means mental or physical harm to an employee caused by accident or disease, and also means damage to or destruction of artificial members, dental appliances, teeth, hearing aids and eyeglasses, but, in the case of hearing aids or eyeglasses, only if such damage or destruction resulted from accident which also caused personal injury entitling the employee to compensation therefore either for disability or treatment.\u00a0<span class=\"small\">[s. 102.1(1)(c), Wis.
