Regular touch-points occur to provide reflective and prospective feedback on performance and discuss progress towards accomplishment of goals. This ongoing conversation strengthens communication and collaboration, deepens employee engagement and improves retention.<\/p>\n<p>Performance management also includes formal touch-points: a mid-cycle and annual evaluation to document performance. SMART goals are set to align with departmental and organizational goals. Evaluations should also include opportunities to discuss and plan for employee career development.<\/p>\n<p>Additional resources and information are available for supervisors and employees on this webpage.
