Saving for your future might cost you less than you think.  The tax benefits of savings can greatly influence your savings goals.  Learn more and take advantage of the opportunity to supplement your retirement savings by participating in the UW Tax-Sheltered Annuity 403(b) Program.  Enrollment is as easy as 1-2-3, and it feels good to save!

Enrollment

  1. Select one or more investment companies
  2. Sign up either with your selected investment company/s online, with the EZ Enrollment form or with a complete paper application.
  3. Fill out the Salary Reduction Agreement to indicate how much you want to contribute to your investment company/s every pay period. Submit the SRA to your institution’s human resources office.

If eligible, you may enroll in this voluntary program at any time. All University of Wisconsin employees, including rehired annuitants, student hourlies and graduate assistants– with the exception of some employees-in-training, fellows, and interns – are eligible to participate. You make the entire contribution; there is no employer match. Investment options include a wide array of mutual funds and fixed and variable annuities managed by five authorized investment companies. For more information about our investment companies and instructions on how to enroll, see the Quick Guide to the UW TSA Program.

To find out more about the program, look at the TSA Q&A, which provides answers to some frequently asked questions.

Still not sure where to start?  Complete an EZ Enroll form.  Contributions are invested in a target date retirement fund chosen by the plan provider selected.  If you wish to contribute to any of their other investment options immediately upon your enrollment, please complete your enrollment online or via a complete paper application.
