The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) is accepting applications for the position of Coordinator of Women’s Basketball Officials.  The WIAC competes at the NCAA Division III level and consists of eight University of Wisconsin-System institutions including: UW-Eau Claire, UW-La Crosse, UW-Oshkosh, UW-Platteville, UW-River Falls, UW-Stevens Point, UW-Stout, and UW-Whitewater.

Major Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Coordinator of Women’s Basketball Officials position include providing leadership and technical expertise to officials; assisting in the selection, training, assigning and evaluation of officials; planning and conducting instructional clinics to teach proper techniques and mechanics, and reviewing interpretations of new rules.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • A minimum of five years as a collegiate basketball official.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

Well-qualified candidates will also have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree.
  • Previous experience as a coordinator/assignor of officials.
  • Experience with ArbiterSports.com.

Conditions of Employment

This position is a part-time, exempt (salaried) academic staff position, which will begin July 1, 2020.  The compensation for this position is $3,600 on an annual basis, plus reimbursement for related expenses.
