    In an effort to better protect data that is physically transported outside the office, Information Services is making encrypted USB flash drives available to employees who have a need to work on sensitive data files while at home or while traveling.     Information Services is working to implement Qualys, which is a cloud-based software tool that allows us to evaluate UWSA-owned computers for security vulnerabilities. Qualys does this by performing a lightweight inventory scan and then comparing the results against a continuously updated comprehensive database of known vulnerabilities.   • UW-Madison E-mail for UWSA Employees

    UWSA employees and retirees will lose their UW-Madison e-mail addresses in September 2015.  Like UWSA, UW-Madison is migrating to Microsoft Office365 for e-mail and calendaring, and UW-Madison’s contract with Microsoft does not allow them to provide Office365 access to those who are not students, employees, or retirees of UW-Madison.
