Foundations actively solicit gifts and accept all those that <strong>name the foundation directly<\/strong>. In the event a gift does <strong>not<\/strong> specifically name a foundation, it is considered to be intended for the Board of Regents and becomes part of the Office of Trust Funds.<\/p>\n<p>Each foundation has their own process for gifts. Please contact them if you are interested in making a gift that names the foundation directly. Or, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wisconsin.edu\/offices\/office-of-finance\/trust-funds\/\">contact the Office of Trust Funds staff<\/a> if you have questions about making a gift that does not name a foundation.<\/p>\n<h3>Taxes<\/h3>\n<p>The Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin System is a State of Wisconsin agency and subject to regulations by the Wisconsin State Legislature.
