Learn more at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wisconsin.edu\/about\/\">About Us | Universities of Wisconsin.<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<h3>UW Preferred Hotel Program Requirements<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"180\" data-end=\"260\"><strong data-start=\"180\" data-end=\"260\">Universities of Wisconsin \u2013 Preferred Hotel Program Requirements (2025\u20132027)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"262\" data-end=\"432\">To be considered a <strong data-start=\"281\" data-end=\"307\">preferred hotel vendor<\/strong> with the Universities of Wisconsin, your property must offer at least one (but can offer both) of the following eligible lodging rates:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"434\" data-end=\"990\">\n<li data-start=\"434\" data-end=\"715\">\n<p data-start=\"436\" data-end=\"715\"><strong data-start=\"436\" data-end=\"484\">Option 1: State of Wisconsin Government Rate<\/strong><br data-start=\"484\" data-end=\"487\" \/>As a State agency, the Universities of Wisconsin is eligible for the official State of Wisconsin government lodging rate. University travelers will present official University identification at check-in to confirm eligibility.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"717\" data-end=\"990\">\n<p data-start=\"719\" data-end=\"990\"><strong data-start=\"719\" data-end=\"780\">Option 2: U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Rate<\/strong><br data-start=\"780\" data-end=\"783\" \/>If your property does not participate in the State of Wisconsin rate program, you may instead offer a rate at or below the applicable GSA lodging maximum (including seasonal adjustments) for your location.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"992\" data-end=\"1096\"><strong data-start=\"992\" data-end=\"1096\">Participating properties must select at least one of these rate structures for the duration of the agreement.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1098\" data-end=\"1138\">Additional program expectations include:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1140\" data-end=\"1687\">\n<li data-start=\"1140\" data-end=\"1293\">\n<p data-start=\"1142\" data-end=\"1293\"><strong data-start=\"1142\" data-end=\"1163\">Rate Availability<\/strong>: Your chosen rate must be available at least 80% of the time year-round. Up to 25 blackout dates per calendar year are permitted.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1294\" data-end=\"1493\">\n<p data-start=\"1296\" data-end=\"1493\"><strong data-start=\"1296\" data-end=\"1316\">Fee Transparency<\/strong>: Any additional resort, amenity, or municipal fees must be clearly disclosed in your proposal and, if selected, billed as separate line items\u2014not bundled into the nightly rate.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1494\" data-end=\"1687\">\n<p data-start=\"1496\" data-end=\"1687\"><strong data-start=\"1496\" data-end=\"1521\">Value-Added Amenities<\/strong>: Complimentary services such as Wi-Fi, breakfast, parking, shuttle transportation, and access to fitness facilities are encouraged and will strengthen your proposal.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1689\" data-end=\"1896\">Properties meeting these criteria will be eligible for inclusion in the Universities of Wisconsin Preferred Hotel Program and will be visible to university travelers through our centralized booking platform (Concur).<\/p>\n<h3>Sales Tax Exemption<\/h3>\n<p>The Wisconsin sales and use tax law in s.77.54(9a), 1985 WI Stats., provides an exemption from payment of state, county, and local tax.
