This statute also describes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the responsibilities and powers of the Board of Regents in governing the System,<\/li>\n<li>faculty and student roles in shared governance,<\/li>\n<li>faculty appointment and tenure rights,<\/li>\n<li>academic staff appointments, and<\/li>\n<li>other aspects involved in the administration of the University of Wisconsin System.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Wisconsin Statutes are held and maintained within the <a href=\"https:\/\/legis.wisconsin.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wisconsin Legislature website<\/a>. The Bylaws of the Regents govern the activities of the Board of Regents itself.
