Her early research interests focused on children&#8217;s academic motivation, particularly the family and home factors related to young girls\u2019 emerging interests in science. More recently, her research has focused on college students\u2019 academic motivation, perfectionism, academic anxiety, and experiences with overparenting. She also examines college students\u2019 attitudes toward disabilities as well as disability culture in higher education.
